Potato Gnocchi with Spicy Vodka Sauce
Spicy marinara sauce with potato gnocchi.
Equipment
- 1 Ovenproof skillet
- 1 Large pot
Ingredients
- 1 pkg Potato Gnocchi 1 lb.
- 1 jar Spicy Marinara Sauce 25 oz.
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil extra virgin
- 1/2 Onion finely diced
- 1/2 cup Vodka
- 3/4 cup Heavy Cream
- 4 oz Mascarpone Cheese
Instructions
- Turn broiler on.
- Heat oil in skillet. Add onions and sauté until translucent. Add vodka and cook until reduced (about 3 minutes). Stir in the sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Stir in cream and cook about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add gnocchi and boil until they float to the surface (about 2-3 minutes). Transfer to skillet using a slotted spoon. Combine with sauce. Spoon mascarpone on top.
- Put skillet under the broiler until cheese is melted (about 2 minutes).
