Stir in cream and cook about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add gnocchi and boil until they float to the surface (about 2-3 minutes). Transfer to skillet using a slotted spoon. Combine with sauce. Spoon mascarpone on top.
Put skillet under the broiler until cheese is melted (about 2 minutes).
